Located on the North East cost of the main island Sardinia, is the only inhabitated Island and this one measure 20,1 Km2. The highest point of the island is Guardia Vecchia, the hill measure 146 meters from the level of the sea.
The Island is mostly formed by granite rocks. The inside of the Island is characterized by a lot of hills, the coasts are jagged and rocky, and that’s why we can found a lot of small beaches all around the island. There are:
Cala dello Spalmatore: Located on the North of the Naval Museum, mostly made by Granite rocks.
Cala di Abbatoggia: Located on the north of the island made by Granite cliffs and very small beaches, this side of the island still have an uncontaminated environment.
Cala di Giardinelli: Located on the east cost (rental coast) in front of Caprera island, this one is also rich of Granite rocks.
Baia Trinita: Located on the north west of the island his famous beach is called Bassa Trinita.
The land is not suitable for farming because is rich of woods.
The island is, characterized by a lot of different animals, and the most famous is the Seagull Corso, but also on the sea there are many species.
